That’s All Well And Good, But What The Hell Is A PAD File?
Good question – years ago, the Association of Shareware Professionals developed a standardized XML format for submitting information about your product to the various Shareware sites. It’s called PAD for short, which stands for Portable Application Description. You create the PAD File using a Free program called PADGen 3, which walks you through the process of filling out all of the relevant information about your product.
Once you generate the PAD File, you upload it to your website – and then you use PADBot to automate the process of submitting your PAD File to over 100 Shareware sites! Because PAD enabled Shareware sites can easily read and import all of the information in your PAD File, they typically do not require any Account Registration, Logging in, CAPTCHAS or anything else.
Getting Started With PadBot
During your first use of PadBot, you’re going to start by creating one or more Company Profiles, which includes basic information about who you are and the info needed to login to a dedicated email account to allow PadBot to manage email related to Account Creation.
Next, you’re going to create at least one Account Profile, which contains a list of those Software Shareware sites you want to submit your PAD files to – like Company profiles, you can have as many Account Profiles as you need!
Now you’re going to add your PAD File to the program and you’re ready to submit it!

System Requirements
Our Scripts are server-side scripts, developed in PHP 5.2 – you may require Zend Optimizer 3.3 or higher on your server (your host will provide this at no charge, if they have not already) along with CURL, JSON and of course your own Web Host, with FTP access to upload the script.
The Guides, Help files, etc. are distributed in the Adobe® PDF format and requires the Adobe® ReaderTM, which may be downloaded for free by clicking the icon.
